Popular comedian Yogi Babu has proved his talent and is the go-to actor for comedy. He has been in almost all the big ticket films either doing a cameo or a full-on comedian’s role. Now he is playing the lead role in the upcoming comedy film ‘Dharmaprabhu‘.
The film will be directed by Muthukumaran who is eagerly awaiting the release of his first film ‘Kanni Raasi’ with Vemal and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead roles. Sri Vaari Films is bankrolling this project and Mahesh Muthuswamy will be the man behind the lens while Justin Prabhakaran will be composing music for the film.
Now the latest update is that the high on political satire comedy film will be hitting the screens on June 28 according to an official update. The film also features Ramesh Thilak, Karunakaran, Radha Ravi, Rekha, Mottai Rajendran, Meghna Naidu and Janani Iyer.
The plot of the film is said to revolve around two characters played by Yogi Babu and Karunakaran who constantly fight in Yamalokam in order to become the successor to Yaman, the God of Death. This upcoming comedy film is expected to go on floors from December 14 in Chennai, where grand sets have been erected.
Yogi Babu has been featured in films namely ‘Thaanaa Serndha Koottam, Kolamaavu Kokila, Pariyerum Perumal‘ and the recent ‘Sarkar’. He has a number of upcoming ventures in the pipeline like ‘Gurkha’, Jiiva’s ‘Gorilla’, and a few others.Source:Entertainment
