World Cup: India elects to bat against West Indies in Chennai

India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat against the West Indies in their Group B World Cup match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

The centre pitch is being used today. It was the same pitch that was used for the England-South Africa match. The wicket has been nicely rolled in, it is a hard wicket, while there will be some bounce for the bowlers. 260-270 is a par score, feels Ravi Shastri.

The teams:

India: Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni(w/c), Yusuf Pathan, Ravichandran Ashwin, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel

West Indies:
Kirk Edwards, Devon Smith, Darren Bravo, R Sarwan, Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell, Devon Thomas(w), Darren Sammy(c), Sulieman Benn, Devendra Bishoo, Ravi Rampaul
