Actress Sriya Reddy will once again team up with her Kanchivaram director Priyadarshan in his upcoming bilingual. The actress, who has worked with the director in the National Award-winning film, reveals that it feels like a “homecoming of sorts”, given that Prakash Raj is also part of the film. Although she cannot reveal much about her character, Sriya says, it will be a powerful one.
“The film revolves around three main characters — Prakash Raj, me and another actor who is yet to be finalized. The film will be about the subject of AIDS and will have a social message. Everyone will be able to relate to it. I am not paired opposite anyone, as the script doesn’t really have a love story between the main characters. Fourteen new actors will be making their debut with the film,” she says and adds, “What we intend to do with this movie is to take it to the heights that Kanchivaram, which was critically acclaimed and did well on the festival circuit, didn’t really reach.”
Sriya is also awaiting the release of her “comeback film” Andaava Kaanom, where she plays the main protagonist.
