Mumbai: Bollywood’s Dabangg girl Sonakshi Sinha is all set to mesmerize audience with her next ‘Akira’ and by the looks of it, the girl is in it to win it as she has given her complete best. Not showing her back to the high octane action that the film demanded, Sonakshi jumped right in and shot the scenes herself, which also resulted in ending up with bruises.
But that didn’t stop the junior Shotgun from doing her stunts herself and kicking some a*s. During one of such scenes, the actress got a really bad scar on her arm but rather than cribbing about the injury, the brave actress wore her battle-scars like victory medals.
Sonakshi shared the picture on her official Twitter account, where she wrote, “Battlescars r meant to be worn with pride! A memento frm when i was shooting an action scene for #Akira! (Throwback).”
The film title ‘Akira’ is a Sanskrit word which means ‘graceful strength’. ‘Akira’ is said to be the Hindi remake of the hit Tamil film ‘Mounaguru’, and will also feature director Anurag Kashyap in a negative role and Konkona Sen Sharma as a lady cop.
The film will also feature Sonakshi’s father Shatrughan Sinha. This is Sonakshi’s second film with the director; she was previously seen in Murugadoss’ ‘Holiday’ with Akshay Kumar.
