According to the latest buzz doing the rounds in cyberspace, Bollywood actor Salman Khan is apparently teaming up with Hollywood action star Jackie Chan for an ambitious project being helmed by South filmmaker Venu Ravichandran.
The buzz that went viral over the weekend, was apparently fuelled by reports that the filmmaker was in talks with Jackie to make a film on the lines of the actor’s Armour of God. Some websites even claimed that the filmmaker, who has been in negotiations with the star for long may actually be close to finalising the deal with him.Apparently, the filmmaker is currently not only in talks with Salman, but also South superstar Kamal Haasan to play cameos in the mega-budget film.
The film, claims buzz, is said to have a budget of over Rs 250 crore and is being pegged as the most-expensive Indian film ever made. An industry insider says, “There’s been talk about the filmmaker planning something really ambitious and big for his next film for some time now.
But the names are only emerging now. With cross-industry projects happening frequently now, it won’t be surprising if he does manage a casting coup getting Jackie Chan on board.”
Another source adds that having Salman and Kamal on board with Jackie would undoubtedly up the stakes like nothing before. “As far as we know, things are still at preliminary stages now and nothing has been finalised yet.
