Britain’s Channel 4 is going to release a video on Wednesday based on Callum Macrae’s film ‘Sri Lanka’s Killing Fields: War Crimes Unpunished’, showing slain LTTE chief Prabhakaran’s 12-year-old son Balachandran’s body stripped to the waist and with five bullet holes to the chest.
The video, said to be shot by Sri Lankan troops clearly showed that the boy was shot from close range.
A report in The Independent narrated the footage: “A 12-year-old boy lies on the ground. He is stripped to the waist and has five neat bullet holes in his chest. His name is Balachandran Prabakaran and he is the son of the LTTE leader, Velupillai Prabhakaran. He has been executed in cold blood.”
Channel 4 had aired a documentary titled Sri Lanka’s Killing Fields in 2011 also that highlighted alleged war crimes by the Sri Lankan government as it extinguished the LTTE cadres.
