While Supreme Court has given a green signal to the film and asked state government to take maintain law and order in the state, the protests haven’t stopped and Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh government has also filed a plea at SC against the release of Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh film as well.
With so much happening around the film’s release, don’t miss out on the latest development that now you can watch Padmaavat ahead of its release date as well. Yes, Bhansali film will now be out in theatres on January 24th with shows starting 6pm. Targetting limited audience on Wednesday, Padmaavat will release only in 3D and IMAX 3D on January 24th. This is because the other 2D films will play in theatres till January 25 and the makers wanted to have only a few, limited paid previews on January 24.
Apart from makers of Padmaavat wanted the first batch of people to experience the film on huge 3D canvas and add to the word of mouth publicity. With very few 3D and Imax 3D theatres across India, only a few people in selected areas will be able to see the film on January 24. We even checked out movie tickets on an online ticketing platform to confirm this piece of information and it’s true. Tickets of only the 3D and Imax 3D versions are available on January 24, while the 2D version tickets are available for January 25.
