Anantapur(Andhra Pradesh): It’s been exactly a year since Spiritual Guru Sathya Sai Baba passed away on 24th April 2011 but the confusion over the installation of his idol still looms large. Allegedly, the members of Sathya Sai Central Trust (SSCT) are divided on the place where his idol should be installed.
Post his death, the SSCT constructed a Maha Samadhi of Sathya Sai Baba after his death at the Sai Kulwanth Hall where devotees have been visiting to pay respect and homage to the spiritual guru.
Earlier, it was concluded that an idol of Satya Sai Baba would be installed in front of the Maha Samadhi. But the trust members have been postponing the issue since then.
Speculations were running high that his idol will be installed on Tuesday on his first death anniversary. But, some trust members have difference of opinions pertaining to installation of idol at the Samadhi.
Few have belief that installing an idol at Baba’s Samadhi would give a particular religious identity to the place which may restrict access to devotees from other religions.
Reportedly, many have suggested installing the idol at some other place.
