Hyderabad makes Yuvi happy again

Yuvraj Singh wants to be a Hyderabadi. The dashing India star scored his fourth century in five matches he played at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium (Uppal).

“I wish I were born in Hyderabad,” remarked Yuvraj sporting a big smile.

When G. Vinod, president of Hyderabad Cricket Association, made it a point to walk up to Yuvraj at the end of the day’s play in the ongoing Duleep Trophy semi-final on Monday to greet him after he scored a double century for North Zone, the response was spontaneous.

“I love this place really. I enjoy playing here,” said Yuvraj.

The stylish cricketer’s memory remained sharp despite having battled the dreaded cancer successfully.

He was quick to remind a reporter that he had now scored four centuries (earlier, two against Australia and one against South Africa in one-dayers) and not “two or three” as was being mentioned.

“I am really happy that I am playing my first game in the longer format here. No better place than this one,” he had said even before the game began.
