New iPad owners will be able to choose from more than 700 apps when the Apple tablet-style computer goes on sale in the US on Saturday.
Developers have been working round the clock to ensure their applications are among the first available for the Apple iPad. The device, which goes on sale in the United States on Saturday, can also run applications designed for the iPhone and iPad touch, though some software designers have chosen to optomise their apps for the iPad’s large, 10in screen.
Among the apps available at launch are Twitterific, a Twitter client for the iPad; productivity app Bento; addictive game Flight Control; and optimised news apps from AP and Reuters. Read full story from publisher
