The centre, under the chief mentor P. Kanagaraj, Associate Professor of Political Science of Government Arts College, offers free coaching and mock interviews for civil service aspirants. Since 2008, 29 candidates have cleared the Civil Services from this centre. This year’s five takes the total to 34.

According to Mr. Kanagaraj, 16 candidates appeared for the final leg. The several rounds of mock interviews prepared the candidates to face the interview confidently, he added.

The candidates expressed their gratitude to the Coimbatore Corporation for having provided such excellent facilities that enabled them achieve their aim. The Corporation has the distinction of being the only one in the country to have established such a Higher Studies Centre.
