DoT, Karnataka to spend Rs seven crore to promote tourism in Kodagu district

According to a UNI report, the Department of Tourism (DoT), Government of Karnataka has taken up various projects to promote tourism in Kodagu district, also called ‘Coffee Land’, which has shown an increase in tourists. A proposal has been prepared for various projects and Rs seven crore is expected to be spent in Kodagu district to promote various tourism-related activities in the current year, which includes a project to set up an academy to boost Adventure Tourism. A sum of Rs one crore has been set apart to establish the adventure academy in Mysore.
