Ferrari ki Sawari becomes first desi film shot at Lords

Actor Sharman Joshi-starrer ‘Ferrari Ki Sawari’ has become the first Indian film shot at the Lord’s in England.
Narrating his experience of how tough it was to secure permission for the shoot, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra said, “This is the first film shot at the Lord’s stadium. But I must say we had a tough time to get the permission from the officials at the Lord’s stadium.
“Initially the officials there said no…they did not give us the permission. It was later when we sent our script to them that they agreed to allow us to shoot there. Also, initially they were giving us one room but seeing our dedication they allowed us to shoot a few scenes at the Lords stadium,” Chopra said.
Chopra was speaking on the occasion of launch of a song, ‘Maara Sixer, Maara Four’ in which the young actor is seen playing cricket at the Lords stadium.
Directed by Raju Hirani’s assistant, Rajesh Mapuskar, ‘Ferrari Ki Sawari’ is about a person who believes in dreaming big no matter how difficult it is to achieve and wants his son to have the same passion for his dream.
The film is a heart-warming tale of unconditional love between a father, played by Sharman Joshi, and his son and is about the young boy’s dream to play cricket at the Lords stadium. The film, also starring Boman Irani, releases on June 15.
Aamir Khans Satyamev Jayate in copyright trouble with Euphoria

Aamir Khan‘s show “Satyamev Jayate”, which has garnered a positive response from TV viewers, has got stuck in a copyright issue filed against Ram Sampath, the music composer of the title track, by Palash Sen the lead singer of Euphoria.
According to reports, Palash Sen claims that the chorus of the song “Satyamev Jayate” has been lifted from his band’s old song which was also named “Satyamev Jayate”. The band has requested the team of “Satyamev Jayate” to give them credit for the song.
Music composer Ram Sampath claims his team is preparing for a strong fitting reply and has requested people to listen to the two songs before jumping to conclusions.
“‘Satyamev Jayate’ is a show that raises important, pertinent issues of national concern and I would not like attention to be diverted from them. Therefore, I am more than happy to clear my name in court as I have great faith in the Indian judiciary. Our team is preparing a strong fitting reply. I also request people to listen to the two songs before jumping to conclusions,” Ram Sampath said in a statement.
Palash Sen’s PR Manager said: “Since the band has been touring and performing at concerts we got to know about it late. A fan posted it on the Facebook page and that is how we got to know about it. We sent a legal notice to Star India and Aamir Khan Productions on Saturday.”
“We have not yet received any response on it. Our legal team will be in touch with their legal advisers. We just want them to give us credit because the entire song is around the chorus of our song “Satyamev Jayate” from our album in the year,” Sen’s PR Manager added.
Katrina Aamir Khan to fight it out in Dhoom 3

Taking the action a step further in YRF’s ‘Dhoom 3′, leading lady Katrina Kaif will kick super-villain Aamir Khan in the rear in what promises to be a critical climactic duel between two powerful dversaries.
Katrina Kaif won’t be spared and no concessions just because she is a woman. It will be an all out fist-to-fist, man-to-woman fight to the finish, reports Mumbai Mirror.
Like a slick, sophisticated, hi-tech version of the Salman Khan – Sonu Sood duel in ‘Dabangg’. Only, it will be far longer and much more daring. Both Aamir and Katrina need to get into super-shape for this sequence.
She has engaged a personal trainer of international repute to train her over the next few months till the start ‘Dhoom 3′ filming.
She has been undergo para-gliding training and learn singing as well. Not just that Katrina has been asked to look her best and be fitter than the previous actresses in the ‘Dhoom’ series.
Aamir too will lose few kilos and go through rigorous physical training.
Not willing to be left behind Aamir also wants to train together with Katrina so that the two look well-synchronised in the fight scene.
Aamir and Katrina will proceed to Chicago at the end of September. That’s when the fight sequence beween the two will be shot.
Amitabh Bachchan to the rescue

It was touted to be that rare award event that actor Aamir Khan, known to shun awards, agreed to attend. The actor was slated to unveil the wax statue of the legendary pioneer of Indian cinema, Dadasaheb Phalke at an awards event on Thursday, but for some reason did not turn up. It was then left to the organisers to get actor Amitabh Bachchan to bail them out at the last minute.
Prior to the event, much was written about the actor conceding to be a part of the the awards event, to unveil the wax statue of Dadasaheb Phalke. According to reports, the actor planned to attend the event, apparently stated that he would be thereonly to unveil the statue and for half-an-hour only. But on the day of the event, onlookers were surprised to see Amitabh doing the unveiling, and Aamir missing.
Informs a source, “Aamir was supposed to arrive at the event, but at the last moment he chose to cancel it. It put the organisers in a big fix. They then had to approach Amitabh at the last moment, and he was gracious enough to agree anddo the unveiling.”
Confirming the development, the organisers informed, “Yes, Aamir was supposed to come, but he backed out at the last moment. We have his mails confirming his attendance at the event. But at the last minute he informed that he won’t be able to make it. He told us that he has some last minute dubbing to do because of which he could not come.”
When contacted to know Aamir’s side of the story, his spokesperson said, “No Aamir did not confirm his presence at the event. So there’s no question of him skipping the event.”

Vidya Balan to promote sanitation campaign

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Vidya Balan Thursday became the brand ambassador of the rural development ministry to spread awareness about sanitation and cleanliness in the country.
Balan said the sanitation campaign needs to become a national obsession.
According to a statement, she has agreed will campaign for two years and will be involved in the Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan –the restructured version of the Total Sanitation Campaign.
Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh said Balan will appear in ad campaigns to propagate construction and use of toilets besides promoting habit of hand washing, personal hygiene and managing waste.
According to UNICEF-WHO Joint Monitoring Programme Report 2010, nearly 60 percent of India`s 1.1 billion people still practice open defecation and close to 58 percent of all open defecation in the world is in India.
Looking forward to working with Katrina Aamir Khan

Mumbai: Superstar Aamir Khan said he is looking forward to working with Katrina Kaif in `Dhoom 3`.
The 47-year-old actor said he was trying to alter his looks in the film.
“I am looking forward to working with Katrina. This is the first time I will be working with her. My look in the film is under progress”, he said.
Khan cleared the rumours that there is no similarity between his yet to be released ‘Talaash’ and the already released Vidya Balan starrer ‘Kahaani’.
Khan, who is making his debut in television by hosting Satyamev Jayate, said due to the show the release of ‘Talaash’ got delayed.
“This show has enveloped my life completely.. I am not known to multi task. The film is very special to me.. it is coming after 2 years. So we selected a new date of November 30,” he said.
The actor said he is not interested in politics.
“I am not interested in politics. That does not interest me. I am an entertainer. I make people laugh, cry and do different things,” Aamir said.
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor go on a summer holiday

Whoever thought only kids were entitled to summer vacations, think again. Lovebirds,actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have apparently taken off for a summer holiday.The two apparently had some time off and decided to take a short trip to their favourite destination.
Kareena, who’s been shooting back-to-back for her films, had apparently finished shooting her portions in the film Talaash, and took days off from her other film Heroine. Coincidentally, Saif too had finished work on his home production, Cocktailwith Deepika Padukone around the same time. Before the completion of these films, the couple had been tied up with Saif’s other home productionAgent Vinod for an entire year till its release in March recently.So, the break came as a breather and the pair decided to take off on a vacation.
Reveals a source close to them, “Saif and Kareena have been working round-the-clock since past couple of months. After shooting for Agent Vinod, they got busy with the film’s promotions. Kareena later began working on a tight schedule between Aamir Khan starrer Talaash and Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine. She’ll soon start work on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film and promotions of Talaash. It’s the same with Saif, who’ll get busy withCocktail and its promotions.
The short break was timely, and Kareena, who was in the midst of shooting forHeroine, managed to geta few days off from the shoot. The duo has headed on a short one-week break.”
While the destination is unknown, sources close to them speculate that it is probably their favourite destination, Gstaad in Switzerland. Saif and Kareena both love travelling, especially in Europe and at this time, it is the best place to be in.
The source further adds, “The past couple of months have been hectic for both of them. They haven’t really had the time to unwind, especially with talks of their marriage constantly doing the rounds. This was the perfect opportunity for them to escape the summer heat and relax. Saif plans to catch up on his reading, besides indulging in a lot of good food and movies with Kareena.” When contacted, Kareena’s spokesperson said that Bebo was out of town, and did not divulge more.
Whats cooking between Ranbir Katrina and Deepika

Mumbai: If the talk is about the No. 1 Casanova of B-town, Ranbir Kapoor would have zero competitors. The irresistible hunk has many girls swooning to his tunes, but the latest to have been smitten by his charm are two divas of Bollywood – Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone.
The two beauties definitely would ring a bell to you as they had dated RK in the past, and they both had a rather unpleasant fallout. But given Ranbir’s magic, the two seems to be back on his radar, and the lad seems to be managing them quite smartly.
Grapevine has it that while Dips and RK continue to bond as good friends on the outdoor schedules of Ayan Mukerji`s ‘Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani’ (YJHD), a source confirms that Kat is the first person RK calls when he returns to Mumbai.
Talking to a daily, a source said, “Deepika genuinely likes Ranbir. The 20-odd days that she spent with Ranbir in Manali are perhaps one of her best outdoor schedules. But it does seem like there can be nothing more than a friendship between the two, because the moment Ranbir lands in Mumbai, he is with Kat. According to insiders, Ranbir and Kat apparently spent quality time at a location in Pali Hill, the same evening he returned from Manali.”
While Kat refrains from answering any questions pertaining to Ranbir, the hunk dodges all queries related to his love life with ease.
Deepika, on the other hand maintains that she just shares a professional relationship with Ranbir.
We don’t know much about the girls, but our boy really seems to be having a ball with two hot divas of the town.
