Acer has launched a new Aspire One netbook in the Indian market, the 10-inch Acer Aspire One Happy netbook. What’s noteworthy about the Acer Aspire One Happy netbook, compared to Acer Aspire One 532h or Acer Aspire One D260 netbooks, is the available color choices — a first of its kind from Acer, a welcome new trend.
Nothing much changes with the Acer Aspire One Happy netbook compared to other 10-inch Acer netbooks reviewed in the past, in terms of form factor.
The Acer Aspire One Happy 10-inch netbook comes with a glossy LED-backlit display (1024×600 pixel resolution) and Acer Crystal Eye webcam on its top screeb bezel. The netbook is less than an inch thin and weighs 1.25-kg with a standard six-cell battery. The netbook claims to deliver up to 8 hours of usage over a single battery charge.
The Acer Aspire One Happy netbook comes with Intel Atom N455 1.66-GHz processor, 1GB RAM, and up to 320GB hard drive. The Acer Aspire One Happy netbook has dual-OS booting, Windows 7 paired with Google Android — Acer didn’t mention which version of Android is bundled with the Aspire One Happy netbook.
The netbook supports a multicard reader, USB ports, ethernet and Wi-Fi along with Bluetooth. The Intel Atom chipset has a GMA 3150 graphics adapter, not as good as what we’ve seen on the AMD Fusion-enabled Toshiba NB550D netbook.
Acer Aspire One Happy Netbook: Price, Availability
