Ahead of it’s Indian unveil on he 14th of April, 2011 in Delhi, here are a few images of the 2011 Ford Fiesta Sedan that have been snapped at the Ford India factory in Chennai. The car is quite a radical departure from the current ford Fiesta Classic due to a inclined window sill that appears to going higher and higher, especially when viewed from rear three quarters.
From the front too, the styling is pretty sharp, contrasting hugely with the sober styling the Figo and he Fiesta Classic come with. All in all, it is a design which some might like and some might not. But what most of you will like is the revvy 1.6 Liter petrol engine pumping out 118 bhp, which can hit the ton in under 10 seconds.
For those frugally minded, Ford India will also offer a 1.6 Liter TCDI Common Rail diesel engine producing about 90 Bhp. All this at a starting price of INR 7.2-7.5 Lakhs for the base petrol and 8-8.5 Lakhs for the base diesel means that Ford will have a decent selling car on it’s hands which will give some stiff competition to the yet-t0-be-launched Verna RB Sedan.
